Thank You Connie!

What a nice surprise I found in my mailbox today! Connie sent me a beautiful windchime and I am betting this crafty, talented lady made it herself. Connie thank you so much. You are always doing and giving to others in so many ways. I don't know how you find the time to do all you do. I am so blessed to have you as a blog neighbor and a friend. The gift of the windchime is just an extra bonus. I went out and sat on my back porch and though there wasn't any wind I enjoyed just looking at the sun hitting all the colors. I was always taught what goes around comes around so you should be covered up in wonderful blessings. Thank you again for thinking of me and I will think of you everytime I am on my back porch (which will be all the time!)

**************************

Juliet(pea hen) has decided she is in love with the handyman. He has been putting lattice around the bottom of the porch and she has been standing right there with him. If he goes to the tool shed she follows him. If he walks home for something she follows him and waits outside his door for him to come out and then follows him back here. When I went out this afternoon to water I didn't see her. Then I heard her "honking" from outside the handyman's door. She was waiting for him to come out but he was home for the day. I had to walk her back home and close her up in her pen. Just goes to show nothing is normal around here

*************************

It is finally cooling off so I am going out to sit on my back porch. Enjoy my windchime and listen to the animals settling in for the night.

I am so very happy you received your windchime in one piece. I really wish I could take credit for making it but...I can't. Rob and I were at a little store and I saw them and just loved them. Immediately I thought of your new beautiful porch and told Rob you had to have them. He totally agreed.

Enjoy them my friend.
Hugs,
Connie

Hello dear Peggy:-) I'm trying to catch up with everyone tonight, it feels like I've been away from blogging for a month instead of 3 days! lol I wish I could sit on your porch with you, it looks so comfy and welcoming!! Makes you wonder, though, what goes through the animals' minds when they see you in there and they can't get at you! lol The windchime Connie made you is just gorgeous!! Isn't she so talented? Also very giving...she has surprised me with a few parcels and I too feel so blessed to know her:-) That is too funny about Juliet and the handyman...I wonder if he returns her feelings???? hehe Never a dull moment on the homestead, is there! lol xoxo

Love the story about Juliet and her new "love" - that is quite funny. I didn't know they were amorous birds - they always seemed somewhat nervous to me.

Glad you will be enoying the porch with sweet music playing in the breeze (what a sweet friend to send such a lovely gif), if we ever get any here in torrid NC. Oh for some rain - but on the other hand please pray it doesn't all come at once, and especially not cloaked in a hurricane! Since Fran I'm really scared when the winds pick up - we had so much damage to our home, and my car was crushed in the driveway under a massive oak. Thank goodness I was not in it!

Enjoy the weekend Peggy - tell those hungry boys to leave you some milk!
Hugs - Mary.
