Down On The Farm

We have had rain ALL DAY! I love it, the animals love it and we sure needed it. The only ones not wanting to get wet were the goats. They wouldn't even go in different stalls, instead they all stayed in one stall together all day. I went to milk Diva and Frosty Dan came back in as he thought mommas food tasted better. Kinda hard milking Diva while Frosty Dan is standing on my back while eating.

Sister and her baby chicks enjoyed the rain. She let me take a couple of photos then started spreading her feathers and fussing at me.

Bud didn't mind how many pictures I took of him as long as he could stay on his heating pad.

While I am milking I have these little ones wanting to know if I am done yet.

They are wanting me to put some milk in their bowls. But let me try to touch them and they are gone in a flash. Wild kitties but cute.

Bonnie and Clyde along with Molene, Larry and Curly come running to the porch everytime they see me. They think its time to eat.

When they see me walking toward the chicken pen and feed can they take flying to be the first ones to eat. Would sure love to have a generator hooked to the wind power they produce. Will leave you with a sneak peek of part of the photo on my new business cards and tags. My daughter (very talented lady) took this photo and one of Diva and with a little magic has Diva holding the basket in her mouth. She designed the new look. Will show the finished product later. You can see the lotions and candles that I will be adding to my etsy shop. Going to wait till I get my new labels and tags before listing them so you will have to wait a few days.

Peggy, you have such a wonderful home. All those critters! Lucky you. I love the little ginger point cat. I wish I had a house cow. I'd love a little jersey. What is your cow? I'm really happy that you got rain. I hope there is some to follow up too.

I love your chicken with its chicks. I will have to let one of mine sit on the eggs.

My "killer" friend June struck again. (I suspect).
My incubator chicks started to hatch out. Two were out and two more were working on it. June went to look. The next time I checked on them the two hatched ones were dead and the temperture was up to 117F. I think the rest are cooked. For this year I give up on the incubator. And to think last year I successfully hatch out 18 ducks eggs I bought at the auction!

Why is BUD on a heating pad? Is he sick or just comfy?? Diva has two very handsome sons.

I love the photos of all your babies. Those chickens are just so sweet. And the boys are growing fast!

Hi Peggy, you have your work cut out with that lot! It made me remember when it was cow milking time all the cats would appear from different corners of the farm. I think to them it was like going for a pint down the pub. Best wishes, Bob.
