edited to add: Thanks Lib and Hope for the Award! I just love it when someone reads my blog much less give me a award.
I thought I had found a pretty way to keep my napkins. I put them in a nice basket and set them on the Hoosier near the dining table.( don't look at the dust. I had my dust rag ready to dust the cabinet in my hand when I had to stop and take this picture) Baby Kitty seemed to think I had decided to make her a new bed to sleep in. Guess I will be washing napkins and finding a new place for them and putting something soft in the basket for baby kitty to sleep on. Every morning Whiskers jumps on the bed and stares at me. If that doesn't wake me up he will cry, if I ignore that he will walk on me and he is a fat cat! I get up and feed him and make coffee for William. I will lay back down for 15 minutes. There is just something about a last 15 minute snooze but I never get the whole 15 minutes. Whiskers will finish eating and even if William is right by the door he will come jump on the bed and cry. I have to get up and let him outside so he can potty. He will only use the litter box if its raining outside. After he is outside, Momma Kitty is wanting her food. She will not eat from the bowl that Whiskers or Baby Kitty have touched. Baby Kitty could care less where or what she eats but if we are having eggs for breakfast we had better save her some! By the time I finished feeding Momma and Baby Whiskers is ready to come back inside. I open the door for him to come in and momma and baby go out for fresh air. In a few minutes I will have to open the door for them to come back in. We thought about a cat door but there are so many strays that come here to eat I would hate to have them all come inside! William said I could always get a job at a animal hotel as a doorman. Gotta run time to turn on Bud's light and feed him before he goes to his corner and pouts at me.

You are not only OWNED BY CATS my dear but you are owned by animals!! I loved your post!! I can completely understand and even see you doing all of this. You love animals!! There is nothing wrong with that at all.
Wait till those other baby kittens start invading your home..smile.

I know of what you speak!!!! I, too. am a gate keeper for my cats and dog as they go in and out at will. . . .their will not mine.
Peggy, I love what William said about you being a doorman at an animal hotel. Too funny!! You had best not put in a cat door, then you'd have hundreds of them sleeping all over the place!! :)
Oh yeah, I wanted to ask you...dusting?? What is that?? lol
Love and Hugs,
Hope
That is just too cute. My two spoiled cats find the funniest places to sleep. CJ loves to sleep in the lower branch of my Christmas tree - which is still up by the way! I hate to take down all my decorations! I just love them.
They sure have their own personalities! Hugs!
Love your post....I confess, I am owned by cats, too....six of them .... all rescues. Sometimes I wonder what life would be like if I wasn't always cleaning up after them.....but then they'll curl up on my lap or in their baskets....or they'll go racing up and down the stairs in a kitty frenzy and I'll wonder if we have room for just one more.....I'm helpless and trying not to be any crazier than I already am. HA!
I love your post about your cats! I can't have cats anymore due to a family member's allergy. But I do have 3 visitors daily who come to my back door for my treats. A huge gray Tom (he must eat at every house in the neighborhood), and he knows where I keep his food. He runs in and goes to the cabinet and waits for his food. The other two always come together, an orange male and a black female. They are a comfort to me to have them all visit. You are blessed to have your animals.

Sounds like my house..I have 7 cats..3 1/2 are siamese. They have me well trained.there is a saying"dogs have masters...cats have staff"..in the winter when the wood stove is going it is not hard to find them ...passed out cats in and on just about everything in the living room and dinning room.
Keep Bud happy...we don't want him going on any more adventures!
Our little 4 legged creatures are so special aren't they? They are our babies. Luv your blog. Come to visit mine sometime and see our sweet little poodle Katie. Connie
Yes, I would have to agree .....your life is owned by your cats. Admit it though, you would be lost without them orchestrating your life and think of how many photo opportunties you would miss without Baby Kitty. Somehow I can't picture the "awe how sweet" response to a photo of William curled up in your napkin basket..... lol
Hi Peggy it is nice to meet you! You make your own soap, that is awesome. I love homemade soap, as far as I ever got was making body scrub out of pumpkin and sugar, lol. The little black and white kitty looks like my little Fabala, aka kitty because i can never think of her name. She to thinks she is rule of the roost.
Love you my darling one.
Big hugs and smiles across the miles.
I love your photographs and YOU!
Agenda
Cat on top of computer sleeping
Cat on top of computer staring.
Cat on mouse
Cat on keyboard

Cat on keyboard
Lather, rinse, repeat.
Happy New Year in case I didn't say it before. I'm a little behind.
LOL. Love kitty cats :)
I've heard there are pet doors where you can buy a collar for your pet that activates it. (That way, no other animal can use it.)
My cats ALWAYS find the clean napkins and placemats to lay on! What's with that??? Just so sweet. Congrats on your award!! xoxo
