Tonight is suppose to get down to 16F tonight. The spigot we use to water the animals froze last night but we have drained it tonight and brought in the rabbit water bottles so they wouldn't freeze. We put extra straw in the rabbit and dog houses and gave the goat stalls extra straw bedding. Think all the animals will be warm and cozy till morning. We have a nice fire going in the stove and have settled down with mugs of hot apple cider. Went over to help Fran get in bed and she didn't care too much for our cold hands. Momma Kitty is being such a good momma. Her babies were born big and now are getting fat! Hopefully I can get a photo of the babies and post tomorrow. Each time I tried tonight they were nursing and boy are they loud if you take them away from their milk supply! I moved mom and babies into my laundry basket so they would have more room to stretch out. I also moved the basket into the livingroom as momma doesn't like being in the bedroom away from everyone. Think I will go sit in the rocker by the stove and finish my cider and go to bed. Good Night

Hi Peggy,
Such cute kittens. My granddaughter would want them all. She loves kittens!! We found a kitten at a local trash dumpster and rescued it for her. She named her Thumbelina, Lina for short!! She is now a big old lazy fat cat that I tell them looks like a female Garfield!! lol

We are suppose to have warmer temps here so maybe you will get some warmth too. Your animals are so lucky to have you taking care of them and keeping them warm.

Hugs,
Hope

Pass some of that hot cider sis! Love that stuff!! Those kittens will be keeping momma quite busy for a while:-) That cold front seems to have affected everyone, even Florida...there goes our orange prices! Thankfully it's now supposed to get above normal temps in the next couple of days. xox
