Miss Sammi
First thanks for the name ideals for first born. I am going to set up a poll so everyone can vote for their favorite one. Sammi is having a hard time. Because she is carrying big kids they have drained her energy and she is very weak. She has ketosis .We talked to a doctor at NC Veterinary Hospital and we will either get the prescription to induce her tomorrow or take her to the hospital and they will do it. We will see how she is doing in the morning. We give her molasses and karo mixture every 2 hours and that is giving her a little more energy. We set the alarm and take turns. Hopefully tomorrow will bring her babies and her health back.

I'm saying a prayer for Sammi. Hope the delivery goes smooth for her and the babies.
Oh poor Sammi, I hope she'll be OK. Everyone knows you'll do everything in your power to make sure she is.

my girlfriend gets induced tomorrow too! not a goat girlfriend :)
Our doe had ketosis when she was carrying quads and we gave her "magic" Do you have the recipe? I can email it to you just let me know.
You must really love these goats. They are a lot of work. Tell me; do goats have babies year round or just in the spring? Have you always been one to live and enjoy a farm? I love creatures but am more of a town/small city girl.
Aw, best wishes for Sami. xo
Hi Peggy,
I hope everything goes well for poor Sammi. I don't know much about Ketosis and I certainly didn't know a goat could have it. I'm praying for you all. I know you must be tired!
Love and Hugs,
Hope
Miss Sammi is on my mind - all we Mommies know how hard it is for her. Hope all goes well and that she and her kids will be fine......you too as I know you must be exhausted by THIS pregnancy. Do you mean you might have to drive her all the way here to Raleigh? Hope not.
Hugs to you Peggy - Mary.
P.S. I could offer you a cuppa but I doubt you'll have time!
Oh, the poor girl. I hope all goes well today and we'll be oohhing and ahhhing over new babies soon.
