Need Your Input

I will be giving the eulogy for Ms. Fran next saturday. If any of you have any thoughts or sayings I could add I would be happy to. So many of you sent cards and notes that brightened her day and made her a part of you. She would love to have you take part in her celebration of life. I am making a dvd to show of photos from her childhood right up to the day she left with the angels. I am setting it to Amazing Grace as that was her and my favortie song to sing together. You can leave a comment or email me and I will work on adding those into the eulogy.

On a different note please keep William and I in your prayers. After being home for 4 months William got back on the road only to have his truck break down in MO. Its going to be a major and VERY expensive repair. He had to get another driver to take his load on to delivery and is having to sit till Monday to find out about the repairs and what his company will do with him. I know things happen for a reason but please pray that things fall into place in repairing the truck and the cost is low and affordable.

Have a blessed weekend!

So sorry to hear about the truck. I was hoping that he was getting that taken care of since he was off. Is he anywhere near KC. I could send Chris to see him.

The poem suggested has an author and an interesting history. Visit

I trust William manages to sort out his truck problems within your means. Owning a piece of machinery with which to make your living is a gamble. My adventure in logging, owning a skidder brought me to the brink of bankruptcy.

Hi Peggy, I hope that everything works out with your truck!!! One of the things that I really liked about Ms. Fran was her cute sense of humor. I hope that when you give her eulogy you will be able to mention that. Thank you so much for letting us get to know her - it was truly an honor. I will miss her. Patty

I hope that when my time comes, I will have a friend like you. I feel blessed that Fran was in my life even if only through the net.. it is wonderful to know that there are special people like her in the world, makes me feel not so despondent about the state of world affairs
Hope all turns out ok with the truck, my dad was a truckie, so I know the ups n downs of it all.

I am very sorry to hear about the truck... if the price of gas isn't enough for these poor truckers! EEEK!

You will do great with the Eulogy... just make sure to show Fran's heart for life during it. That will complete her walk here on earth best. She sounded like an amazing lady! Would have loved to met a person like this...

The dvd is a wonderful idea. I couldn't agree more about the poem, it is beautiful and seems to say what needs to be said.

I hold you and william in my prayers that he and his truck will make it safely and inexpensively home.

Wishing William good luck with his truck - so frustrating for you both, just hope the repairs are not too costly and that he gets home safely soon.

As I've mentioned before, Ms. Fran was so fortunate to have you as her loving, caring friend Peggy - and still you are helping out after she's gone with the angels. I love the poem for the late Queen Mother - my Mum actually made some of her clothes when she was a seamstress in London at one of the Royal Dressmakers - and agree the words seem perfect for Fran too. I like how you told us she was so surprised that people she'd never even met mailed cards to her!

I know it will be a wonderful service and you will be the one to make it extra special. I'm off for a week so will check back later to hear all about the service.

Hi Sis:-) Finally back to regular blogging...isn't it funny how having company for a week and then going away for a few days can really mess up your regular routine? hehe

I'm so glad that you received your birthday package and liked what I sent you:-) You truly are a special person in my life!!

I've been feeling so sad about Ms. Fran because I know how much you're missing her but she is now smiling down at you with the rest of the angels:-) I just know you will do a terrific job with the eulogy...this is what came to my mind....

"Ms. Fran was like a ray of sunshine. And now, whenever we feel the sun's rays upon our shoulders, we will know she is holding us in her own special way, keeping us warm."

Oh dear, I'm so sorry to hear that William's truck broke down again. Not good! Prayers that things work out!!! Love ya, sis. xoxo

Hi Peggy, I haven't been reading blogs for a while, since my grandaughter was in the hospital... so sorry to hear about Ms Fran.
I agree that your plans sound just right. If she had a favorite bible verse you could share that with everyone.
Will be praying about the truck problems.

I sure hope you get a chance to post some picture of Ms Fran when she was younger.
I don't what it is about me but I real enjoy reading blogs at time when people share personal stories and pictures.
I would love to see some photo of Ms Fran.

I got picture post of my step Grandma I think.
I also got a picture of hooky thing that I'm clueless what it is.

I hope everything works out for your truck I say pray for your hubby truck.
The only thing I know fuel for truck over priced. It a little over $4.00 a gallon.

I was afraid I would find out that Ms. Fran was with us no longer. I am sure this is all over and done but I will say a prayer of thanksgiving for her life and for yours and how they were intertwined for awhile... and how we got to be a small part for a time.

This is too late for your eulogy, but something to hold close to your heart:

There is an old African story that says no one is truly dead as long as one person is speaking their name and remembering them. Your friend will live on in your stories and memories of her.
