Enjoying The Day

Started out with rain this morning but the sun was shining and it got up to 73F by afternoon. I spent the morning moving some chickens around. Let the guinea's out of the pen to roam the yard. Bossy Toes has got to realize soon she is a goat and not a human. I spend most of my time putting her back in the goat pen only to turn around and see her following me back to the house. She takes the bite from the electric fence when she crawls under just so she can be with humans. DiDi , Sonya and Bridie will stay in the pen but have the pitiful eyes down pat. They think if they look really sad I will give them a treat. BossyToes is just waiting for me to turn my back so she can escape the pen and follow me to the house.

Got a big order for soaps, lotions and candles from Gillis Farms. Plan on working on that Sunday as tomorrow will be busy with Fran's celebration of life. We are suppose to have heavy winds and thunderstorms tomorrow but the temp is suppose to be 80F. Hope the storms hold off till after the service.

All the trees and bushes are budding out and even see green grass where the chickens and rabbits haven't been yet. As much as I love snow and winter I am enjoying the spring weather and all it brings. I hope to get busy in the gardens and even make some herb gardens in window boxes. I have let things get behind here at the homestead for the past few months so its time to roll up my sleeves and get my hands dirty. Wonder if I could teach BossyToes how to use a hoe? Have a blessed weekend!

Oh dogwoods and azaleas both. Wish I were there. Sounds like we might be seeing William soon. We are looking forward to that. Sorry it is not under better circumstances.

I suppose you could at least strap a push broom to her back. That is one determined goat! Excellent photo of the babes! I felt for the first time like Spring is creeping in here too - first day that I was actually a little warm with two shirts and a jacket, LOL. High fifties and climbing! The weather in the Adirondacks should be just perfect when we go up in three weeks! Have an awesome weekend.

It is sure looking like spring at your place. I think it is funny how Bossy wants to be with you. You got a lot of unlearning to do there. =)

It seems to me that if Bossy toes wants to think she is human she needs to learn to do human chores.
