Life Around Hidden Haven

William is still in Joplin. He has way more patience than I do but hopefully things will work out today.
I finished scanning photos for the DVD of Fran's life. It was such a pleasure being able to see photos of her growing up, her family, homes, etc. I will set it all together later and it will be played at her celebration of life. I am still working on the eulogy but thanks to you I have some beautiful poems and lovely tributes.
Life still goes on here at the homestead. Milking, making cheese, packaging and shipping soap orders, moving goats around to different pens. We have had several days of rain but I managed to set out more cabbage in between showers. Our lettuce and onions are really doing well. I picked lettuce last night along with a few green onions and made myself a salad. Shared some of the lettuce with Bud and the baby rabbit. Trying to work on paperwork for taxes (yuck).
The dogwoods are beautiful! The rain brought out the blooms and the trees are full. We also have everything covered in yellow pollen from the pine trees. Walk out on the back porch and everything is yellow dust. Spring has sprung.
Thank you so much for your prayers, thoughts and words. I truly believe they are being answered and things will work out. Please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers and have a blessed day!

Hope everything works out fine in Joplin. From what I've heard about W's resolve and patience, I'm sure it will be fine. I know Ms. Fran's memorial will be beautiful, including the DVD/slides. I hope it is of some comfort that, as you say, life goes on at the Homestead. Happy Spring!!! And welcome to the Dogwoods!! I still have a few weeks to go. Take care!

Hi Sis:-)

Are my godKIDS behaving themselves?? I just know that Sweetpea is being very good for you, right?? hehe Last night I was talking to Steve on the phone and he mentioned how much he wishes he could drive me to meet you...hopefully one day:-)

I can well imagine how much you enjoyed going through Fran's pictures...I just know the video will be brilliant.

Sounds like you're keeping very busy...as usual!! lol Hmmmm, how come Spring has sprung for you but not for me?????? Actually it went up to 41F here today so I was able to open a couple of windows to let some fresh air in. Still need to get rid of tons of snow though.
