This blog is a journal of the simple living on a small 2 and a half acre farm. The ups and downs. The good and the not so good. Adventures of Hidden Haven animals and some of my own. The sharing of our frugal, hardworking, attempt to be as self sufficient as possible. Please stop by often as we love company!

On The Run
I will be putting the packages in the mail to the winners of BossyToes contest Saturday. We will be leaving right after morning feeding tomorrow to meet my daughter Melody. Raigun, Justine, Kristine and Hope will be going home and Zack and Wayne will be joining Woody for some time here with grandma and PopPop. Justine is wanting to stay but has some things he has to go home to do. I hope Blinkin doesn't have her babies while I am gone. Going to miss the girls and Justine but it will be fun having the boys here. They love feeding the animals, helping with chores and find so many things to do outside I end up having to call them in way after dark. William will be home for a few days of their visit so we hope to take out the canoes one day. The older girls have been a big help with my soaps. They bagged and tagged everyday for me. Today was spent doing laundry so the kids could take clean clothes home and we would have clean towels. The younger kids helped by cranking the wringer. I promise to catch up on awards, photo of a prize I won, answer questions that have been asked, and whats going on around the homestead. Right now I have to make sure suitcases are packed, everything is found that was lost, showers are taken and kids get in bed so we can get up early in the morning. Have a blessed evening and will catch up tomorrow night!

What a great time this has been for you guys - not to mention what learning for the grands! :) NOt many kids can go back to school and say that they helped out on a farm for the summer! :) good luck finding the things that were lost, that is a chore in and of itself!!! LOL have a safe drive tommorow!
I don't know where you get the energy but I'm sure it has to do with the abundance of love.
I'm so glad William will be able to spend time too :)
Thank you for being you !
The quiet of more than half of the children being gone will probably be deafening. I know you enjoyed having them with you. With all the help they were and the company they gave you. You know of course that you are giving them the greatest gift they could ever hope for. Good memories of a visit to grandmas.
Please come by the little house on the mountain when you have a chance..... I have something with your name on it.
It sounds like everyone had a great time on the farm. Memories like that will last a life time.
Know you are going to miss the kids, but I'm sure they have had a super time with you! Sounded like so much fun that I wished I could have been there! Some great memories were made by you for those grandchildren!
(((HUGS)))
Sounds like you have had a busy and fun time w/the grandkiddos! I bet they will really look back on and treasure this time with you.
I like the pic of Willow sleeping in the goose nesting box! ;)
Can't wait to see more adventures on the homestead with the grands.
~ Blessings ~
