Diva, Sammi, Sonya and DiDi are pregnant. They all are due in January. Up until a couple of days ago they were being normal or at least whats normal for them. All of a sudden they are hormonal! If you look at them they might butt you. If you don't look at them they are rubbing all over you and crying for attention. If one of the other goats happens to pass by too close they charge at them and head butt them in the side. The other girls learnt fast though and make a wide path around them if they have to walk that way. I wondered why all of a sudden Mandy and Baby kept getting out. They even take the hit from the electric fence just to get away from the moody 4. This morning Diva wouldn't let any of the girls near the milking stall. She kept chasing them away. I finally held her and made her wait till last to be milked for being so mean. She is now mad at me and is ignoring me till I turn my back then tries to butt my legs out from under me. I think the next few months are going to go by very slowly around here.

We have had that sort of behavior prior to Mr Bucky making a visit.
Glad when life gets a bit more normal, wait, that will be kidding time and that is lots more work : )
O My! I've not been around goats a lot so this story was a hoot for me. Sorry Peggy I know you're the one has to deal with their hormones but the way Diva is behaving is hilarious!
Watch your backside, girl!

I can't wait to meet those goats and their bad attitudes! =)
I know all about those moody goats! I am getting ready to post a blog on how to get Mini-Nubians and what buck to use on your purebred Nubian does.
Poor Peggy, having to deal with all those hormones. Goats are so funny and have such personalities. Hang in there... It gets better.
bahahahaha! what a fun post! Love the animals... poor goats, I know what it's like to be hormonal, tho, I don't think I'll try head-butting the husband anytime soon. haha.

Hello Peggy
No wonder men talk about the perils of being in a house full of women lol

Hi Peggy,
I didn't know mama goats got so hormonal while pregnant. You really have your hands full with four of them. LOL I hope they don't all deliver at the same time. You are going to have to move your bed to the barn in January. LOL
I hope the "moms-to-be" start feeling better and watch your backside.
Hugs,
Connie
Hi Peggy...this was a very cute story for us readers...LOL

lol. what a hoot. I just talked to someone who told us that one of her goats used to end up on her roof whenever the others turned on her. I would love to see a picture of that!
