It has been a cool, wet, windy day here. I have been in a bad mood this afternoon about some things that went on today. I sat down and read a few blogs and realized I should count my blessings instead of all the wrong things of the day. Instead of being aggravated Baby keeps sticking her head through the fence several times a day. I am thankful she sits down and waits patiently for me to come and remove her head. Thankful she doesn't hurt herself trying to get her head free. Instead of being angry the hired hand forgot to release Sonya from the milk stanchion I am thankful I found and released her. Thankful that this afternoon I was able to milk her without locking her head in and she stayed calm. Instead of being upset over a phone call I am thankful I don't have all the stress, pressures or attitude the person on the other end of the phone has everyday. I am blessed I get to wake up each day and take care of the animals here at Hidden Haven. I am blessed they trust me to take care of them and provide us with milk, eggs and lots of entertainment. I am blessed to be able to stay home and have a small business. I am blessed to have a hardworking husband. Blessed to be able to dream and plan for the day he will soon be home full time. We have our aches and pains but overall we are healthy and able to do the chores and jobs needed to be done. I am blessed with loving, caring, daughters, son in laws and grandchildren. I am blessed with wonderful step children and grands. I am too blessed to let some minor things get to me. God didn't promise me all good times. He did promise to be right with me through the rough times and even carry my burdens if they got too heavy. So I am going to make a cup of hot chocolate, sit down and tell God thank you.

Melody goes to Hope Cancer Center Thursday, October 2ND for a biopsy. Please keep her in your prayers.

Sorry you had a rough time, Peggy. Of course, you've turned everything around to positive and lovely, just as I would expect. And you do have many wonderful blessings - including those funny goats! Great pic. I'll be thinking of Melody.

Sis, your attitude always inspires me...no matter how rough things get, you always think of the BRIGHT side. You've taught me to have that attitude as well and I thank you for that. As you say, God is beside us at all times. Love you sis and my prayers continue for Melody. xoxo

About the time that we feel ourselves starting to have a pity party someone gets shoved in front of your face and you see the blessings that are all around you....That is what has been happening to you it sounds like. Happens to me a lot!! There is always someone or something that is worse in this LIFE over us!! Take care Peggy...

Thank you for reminding me that i need to do the same. I can get very caught up in the woe is me. Once we take a moment to count our blessings we realize how good we have it.

I love your goats and miss mine terribly. I hope to own some again some day.

Peggy you are truly blessed and I too have had to look around me to find what God has blessed me with, I have had a very troubled summer but, it is all working out and things are getting back to the crazy normal routine that I love around here! It has been a long time getting back to blogging but, I have made it and I missed you!
I know God will get you through!
Blessings,
Annie

Here, here! You just gotta let go of the small insignificant STUFF and not let it crowd out the good. I always try to remember to leave plenty of room for the blessings. :)

Sending up prayers for you, your sis and all family involved.
Have a Christ filled day, dear friend.

You may not fully understand just how much I needed to be reminded to stop and be thankful.

Tomorrow, instead of being irritated every time Kira asks me for something - yet again - I will stop and be thankful that she is still here to ask and that we'll get through this and be better for it.

Today, I'll thank you for reminding me how lucky I am.

I just found your blog through Mary's Writing Nook and had to let you know how much I enjoyed my visit. I raised goats many years ago, in high school, and love to see yours. Your banner is just too cute!
Prayers for your Melody coming your way....
