My Stand on Politics

I have made a point to keep my political views off this blog. I am going to break away from that for just this once. Being election year a lot of blogs are voicing their choice for president. That's a good thing. Everyone has the right and should speak out about why their candidate should win. What I have a problem with is bashing the other candidate. Why waste time slinging mud? If you have picked the right candidate for the job then you should have more than enough to fill your blog with on their qualities for handling the job. What I am reading is all the things found wrong with the other candidate. How they lied or what the did or didn't do. That makes me not want to vote for the candidate that person is endorsing. If they have found the right person then I want to know why. I want to know what good things they know, read or heard that made them decide to vote for that person. So if you really want to get others to vote for your choice tell us why without any mud slinging. Goodness knows there is enough of that done by politicians themselves. Don't waste your time digging and searching for bad things about the other candidate. Post all those great things about your candidate. There you have it. My stand on politics that I am willing to share.

On a different note. While William was making a delivery on the west coast he got in a conversation with a lady about goats. Her name is Sandra and she sent me a very nice email and a photo that is so sweet. I want to share it as the goat reminds me of Sweet Pea. I love it when I meet other goat lovers! Thanks Sandra!

Bless you Peggy.....

I feel the same way about politics. Every election year we listen to the mud constantly on the tv ads and in the papers and on the news and then it runs over onto the blogs and we won't even talk about the e-mails. I delete them and go on. I have decided who I am going to vote for....case closed. No amount of brow beating and bad publicity is going to change my mind. The majority of the bad stuff if usually taken out of context and twisted a bit to fit someone's agenda.

That is such a sweet picture. I like the big dog laying in the background overseeing everything.
Just plain precious.

Many blessings are wished for you Peggy.

I too try to not post on politics other than a few lines here or there when I am totally over the edge. I check the facts every day at www.factcheck.org, which is unbiased fact-giving site that provides just the facts on both candidates and their respective campaigns. The election cannot come fast enough to get this over with! I don't know why the mud slinging had to begin. Geesh! Have a great weekend Peggy! xo

PS When I'm down at Riverside, I pass a little farm that seems to always have a sign out front which states "Goats For Sale." I always think of you and Ms. Diva. Always!!!

Hello Peggy, I agree with you. If one is confident in one's choice then convince me as to why I should vote for that candidate. I can't stand mudslinging and it is a sure way to get me to stop listening. I also think one mudslings due to lack of confidence and insecurity.

I love the picture you posted.

Good job Peggy! I agree. I think much of my distate of politics comes from all the mud slinging.

I'm with Pea. I don't trust or have faith in anything a politician has to say. My feelings are that they will do whatever they need to do for THEMSELVES not what is needed or in the good of the people of the US. Even if they start outfairly honest... by the time they get into power... power has corrupted them.
*rant over... sory I got carried away*

I totally agree with you Peggy. There is no need for any negativity in our precious world at all... especially when it comes to commenting or posting about others. That is shameless behaviour and should not be tolerated.
Well done Peggy!
