ViVi is in Jail

For the past several months ViVi has decided to become a escape artist. She would jump over a 5 foot fence without even touching it. She would go through the electric fence without batting an eye. When we built the new chicken pens we made a extra pen with chickenwire on the outside and goat fence on the inside. This is now ViVi's new home and she ain't happy! She has tried all day to get out without success. ViVi has even got the bright idea to stand by the gate and wait for someone to open it so she can try to knock them down and make a break for it. Good thing I figured out what she was going to do and was ready for her. Besides being in jail she is pregnant so her hormones are crazy making her a very unhappy, mad goat! Hopefully after she kids she will go back to her sweet loving self that is again happy in her pen. At least she can enjoy the warm sunshine and beautiful flowers from her jail cell

Poor Vivi... She looks like such an innocent girl!!! Are you sure she's being THAT bad???? Where does she go when she breaks out?????

Well, like you said, maybe it's her hormones!!!! Hopefully, she'll settle down when she has her babies!!!!

Have a great day--and tell Vivi that I'll bring her a big steak if she's good.

Hugs,
Betsy

Aw, poor Vivi. Captive at a lovely place, fed well, and treated beautifully. I wouldn't complain too much if I were her! Flowers already?!!!!

ViVi are you crazy? If I was at HiddenHaven, that's the last place I'd want to bust out of. Girl, you got it made there. I've heard a lot of goats do't have it so good at places. And some people EAT goats! Take care,

Poor Vivi, that's so sad having to keep her penned like that!

I am so ready for spring. It's snowing today and is supposed to snow all week so I'm not getting my hopes up yet. Trouble is, with spring, come the blackflies!! We just can't win!!

As I sit here watching the snow fall it is hard to imagine Spring is just around the corner. We are expecting a foot of snow in the next couple of days.

For your strong willed goat you should be playing the tune "Born Free." I wonder if she will ever learn to like her "Guantanamo" home.

Poor Vivi....all those hormones raging!!
Our first two goats, Abby and Matilda, were sisters. Abby was a lion snack one night and the next morning, Matilda went ballistic! She is a rather chunky goat and she wanted her sister! In ONE hop, was on top of the four foot fence POST with all fours, screaming and then hopping down and just going nuts. She did this three times in two days!! Finally I set a roll of barbed wire on top of the post and she gave up trying to get out. Since she thought is was my doing that Abby was gone, she has never liked me much..unless I got food in hand, of course.

I would not have the patience to raise goats. They sound an awful lot like my kids. (pun intended) LOl

Did she get the cake I baked for her yet?? hehe Awwww poor Vivi, she just doesn't realize that she's "doing time" for her own protection.

Wow, you have Spring flowers growing! Mine are still buried under a few feet of snow! Sigh. We've been having snowstorms the last couple of days and today the wind is really wild so it makes it very hard to see anything out there!! Spring can't come soon enough for me. Love ya sis. xoxo
