Earth Hour

This is something everyone can do. No reason to say I can't do anything that would really matter. We all can give up one hour of electricity. One hour by everyone really matters. One hour by everyone really helps. So at 8:30pm tonight turn off your lights. Light a candle or oil lamp. Turn off the TV and get a board game out with the family. Take a walk outside, whatever you do at 8:30 tonight I hope its without electricity. Come on you know you want to!

Sounds like a great idea, I plan to do it! I'm curious to see how the big companies/stores pull it off!

I will! I don't know if my husband will or not. Probably not!
Do I have to go around and unplug everythin'?
I've been tryin' to buy appliances with no clock or standby light the last few years whenever I've needed to replace somethin'. It's impossible. You just can't find anything out there. Our manufacturers need to get a talkin' to and start makin' 'em more earth wise.

Hi, remember me? It's been so long since I've been by HHH but I think of you often! I thought it was time to stop in and wish you a happy Spring, see how you are and what's new in the Dr. Doolittle's kindgom! Those baby chicks are just too cute for words!
Sending hugs,
Lisa
XOXO

We did it last year and again this year. Last year we got out some flashlight and Lily chased the light as we laughed our butts off. This year we decided to take the hour and sit and talk. You know you talk to your family but do you really talk to them. It was wonderful! I say we need Earth Hour more often. As well as helping save the earth, it reminds us to slow down!

My sister was smart enough to rememer that I'd forget and give me a call so I could play. It was fun as long as it was for only an hour but it did remind me how much our lives are improved by having some electricity!
