This blog is a journal of the simple living on a small 2 and a half acre farm. The ups and downs. The good and the not so good. Adventures of Hidden Haven animals and some of my own. The sharing of our frugal, hardworking, attempt to be as self sufficient as possible. Please stop by often as we love company!
That cracks me up takin' a picture of you chickens when they're roostin'. How funny. I like the way the roosters crow around midnight and then again around 3 or 4. Alls okay. It's a reassurin' crow.
Peggy: I know you don't know me except that I visit and make comments but I had a really bad day today and seeing your sweet animals and the cute little sayings you put on your photos really made me smile. And I needed something to make me smile, so thank you for taking the time to be a blogger.
Sparky and Smokey are adorable! I posted about my new bunny today as well. HOP on over and meet her if you get the chance. I know, I know, it was a Dorky pun:-)
Hi Sis:-) I always love it when you post pics like these with the captions...soooo funny!! I had to smile at your rooster crowing at bedtime because it reminded me of my brother in law Tony saying that whenever he goes to the bathroom in the middle of the night and turns on the light, the rooster starts crowing, thinking it's morning! lol Love you sis. xoxo
Waking up the chickens with the flash reminds me of the time I went hiking with my brother and neice. We were in an abandoned gold mine in AZ and there were a "few" bats in there sound asleep - or so my brother said. When we got to where the bats were my neice wanted a picture so she pointed her camera at the ceiling and flashed. Turns out there were hundreds of bats, and they weren't too happy about that flash. We exited that cave about as fast as you've ever seen people run! The funniest thing is that my brother really didn't know there were so many. Guess we found the "bat cave".

I guess the flash threw off the rooster and made him think it was day-lol!

You post the best pics! :)
Nice pictures. We had a rooster that crowed all day long starting at 10AM!
The bunnies are so darn cute, Peggy! I miss the one that I used to have.
