This blog is a journal of the simple living on a small 2 and a half acre farm. The ups and downs. The good and the not so good. Adventures of Hidden Haven animals and some of my own. The sharing of our frugal, hardworking, attempt to be as self sufficient as possible. Please stop by often as we love company!
Hi Peggy...Hope all is well with you, and I read your comment on Libs blog about your hubby's truck. I am keeping you guys in my prayers...times are so hard right now.
Lots of love to you and yours. Take good care of the farm critters too! LOL
My kind of living! I am glad I found you and intend to visit often. The boys are doing a great job, I know how heavy that hay can be!~Jacque p.s. I just love goats!
You certainly have your garden underway. The lads working so hard remind me of Parker when we first moved on the farm. He worked so hard and so willing for a 12 year old. Haying was so hard!
You nature sounds always get my cats looking around. And when the water starts I invariably have to make a trip to the bathroom.
Is that really green things growing in a garden? We have brown left over weeds not growing in ours. Alex has been drooling over tillers at every store that she sees them. It is getting difficult to pull her her away. Also, can we borrow those boys? We have so much work to do and not enough hands. Kelly
Well I thought you and william had turned into child laborers and then I saw the one pic of their faces not only smiling but with determination showing too. I don't know what is going on with williams truck but I figured it couldn't be that you are keeping him around so much just cause he's cute. I hope things work out soon.
All these pictures are simply wonderful. Thanks for sharing a day on your farm. PS: I'm still enjoying the soaps! They smell so lovely. I'm going to have to order more for Christmas gifts. They'd be perfect for that. :o)
Did you see the story on the news about the goat and the dog walking the streets in Virginia lost. They were buddies. Some one has adopted both of them, isn't that sweet. Looks like you guys have some real strong helpers:)
Hi Peggy, Your garden is looking great. I can tell a lot of hard work is going on around your homestead. I understand that part! It is nice you have such handsome and hard workers there. Take care. Pam
I've had to lift and carry some of those bales of hay and they're not light!!! lol Heavy buggers they are! I can't believe how much everything is growing over there, sis, you're so ahead of us. My tulips and daffodils haven't even bloomed yet! lol Love ya! xoxo
Hey, that garden is looking great! But I want some tomoato pics! LOL Really looks wonderful. Sorry I haven't been able to check in as much with getting ready for the move!

Peggy, Looks like you have alot of good helpers at the Homestead!!!! The garden is growing ----so that means it's officially spring.
Hope things are okay with you all. I read what Jess said about your hubby's truck.

Those boys are working hard.
Looks like a great work day to me. I'd be up for all of that too.

Great photos of a family working together on a gorgeous day!
BTW, my cat adores this nature sounds soundtrack with the birds. He gets all up in the computer trying to get the birdies.
Everything always looks so well manicured around there.
Your garden looks great and I love your helpers!!!
Goodness what happened to your hubby's truck? Is he alright?

Peggy, Your garden looks great and I love the pictures of the boys stacking the hay.
Hope all else is going good at your house.
Great looking garden! Very industrious helping hands there!
Nice garden and nice hay! I really want a garden cart like that.
