This blog is a journal of the simple living on a small 2 and a half acre farm. The ups and downs. The good and the not so good. Adventures of Hidden Haven animals and some of my own. The sharing of our frugal, hardworking, attempt to be as self sufficient as possible. Please stop by often as we love company!
I am getting squash, broccoli, cauliflower and onions out of the garden. In a few days I should be picking beans. Thanks to goat poop and rain this years gardens are doing awesome.
I feel like my garden is just starting and you are already harvesting!!! I am still not convinced that anything will come of our garden at this point... but we will see.
Look how good your garden is doing down South, and I haven't even planted mine way up here! We had a freak hail storm on Sunday! Brrr! Don't worry - I didn't fill the van with loose manure ... it was in bags! LOLOL
Yum , Yum , I'm looking forward to fresh garden food too. I did harvest a head of broccoli last week , but it will be a couple of weeks before we get any squash.
Your garden looks wonderful! We just moved closer to you guys. Now we are no longer in Lillington but in Parkton. I do hope that we will get to visit with you one day! The wonderful rain we keep having is really a blessing. Better to have rain that that terrible drought we had experienced!

Your garden is looking so nice. I need to get out in mine with my friend the hoe. We have a lot of weeds to chop down.
We use goat poop, with some chicken and cow compost, also.
Have a great day.

Your garden is just lovely! Well put together and very protected (I see the fence).
I just took the dogs to the groomer and had all thier mats and tagles cut out. They look so funny now.
Thanks for the recipe! I'm going to try it this weekend.

Wow, I did get a late start this year. My beans are just coming up. I'm still just getting peas from my garden.
We are just getting started planting our garden! Can't wait to taste fresh produce again.
Wow! That is some garden! A feast for the eyes!
Peggy your Vegie patch looks so good nothing better than home grown veg, Happy harvesting when the times ripe.
We had to bring all our tomatoes inside because it snowed last Sunday!! I can't imagine harvesting already when we can't even plant outside yet!!
That is amazing to see your garden so full and green. It is much slower here in Colorado.
Holy cow peggy you are going to be one busy girl. Way to go.
