Monday Already?!

Happy Monday! Or at least I hope its a happy Monday for everyone. We had a couple of bad storms over the weekend. Knocked the cable out in the livingroom but not the bedroom for some reason and the DSL box for computer has to be reset every few minutes when you are using it. Will be calling about that today. Went to a estate sale and a few yardsales over the weekend but didn't find anything I couldn't live without except for canning jars, double boiler, a bolt of material, and some curtains at the estate sale. Oh well, sometimes you hit the jackpot and some days you just enjoy the scenery.

Megan got to go home from the hospital Friday. Sometimes that daughter of mine surprises me. She met a lady there that didn't have anything, not even a pair of shoes. So my sweet daughter gave the lady some of her pj's so she wouldn't have to wear a hospital gown and gave her the shoes off her own feet. I ask Megan what she wore home and she said oh I just went home in my socks. I just love that girl!

Picked a bushel of green beans so you know part of what I did over the weekend. I also cleaned and change the kitchen around. Pulled weeds and mulched my veggie garden here. Lowe's had some of their flowers marked down to just a dollar so I picked up 6 to set out today.

Kuma has went from being in a pen to being on a runner to being in a doghouse by the backporch to being a house dog. Yep, she is now inside with Rusty which Debi calls Kuma's mini me. We had to run to Eastover yesterday evening so Kuma and Rusty rode along. Kuma sat in with her head out the window the whole way. She was in heaven and when we got home she didn't want to get out of the truck.

Laundry is already done for the day. Animals are fed. Got paint to paint the front porch from Lowe's for $5 on the clearance rack so that is one project for today. Plant the flowers and cut the grass is another. I also plan on moving bedrooms around if I get the time. Need to paint the signs for my herb garden and get my fence up around it. Oh so many things and so little time.

The chickadee and babies have flown away and the nestbox is empty. In the birdhouse on the other end of the fence a bluebird has made a nest with 4 tiny blue eggs. I have a picture and will post once the DSL is fixed. Isabella is gone. I hope she remembers me and comes back one day. I have pictures of Precious I will post soon. She is always into to something. Life at the homestead is always busy but oh how much fun I am having! Hope your day is filled with fun!

Hi Peggy, Sounds like you had a nice weekend--despite the storms. Hope you get your DSL fixed. We have the same problem with our satellite dish. Everytime it rains ---our dish loves to go out!!!! ha

Your Megan is an incredible young woman. Hope her problems at home will get better... She needs to change things in order to have a quality life herself. Others can't change her life for her. Only she can.

Have a great week... I'm finally beginning to feel a little better today... YEAH!
Hugs,
Betsy

That is an impressive list!

Oh, how I wish I could post a "done" list like that. Alas, all I'll really get completed is another workday!

After reading your list of accomplishments I think I need to take a nap. LOL You are such a hard worker. Those green beans are going to taste so good this winter.

When you talk to Megan tell her I'm still praying for her.

Your daughter reminds me of my Mother. I'm glad Megan is doing better and you are enjoying yourself.
