End of the Day
The day is coming to an end. All the animals have settled down for the night. Rusty and Kuma are alseep on the dinningroom floor. Supper was leftover grilled hamburgers, chips, and coleslaw. I spent most of the day cleaning and rearranging the livingroom. A friend gave me a really nice recliner that she no longer was using so needed to change things around to make it fit. Rusty thinks the recliner is his. If anyone sits in it he jumps in their lap and demands petting for payment for the use of his chair. He spent all afternoon napping in it. I didn't get to the egg plants today so they will be top on my to do list tomorrow. I cleaned and rearranged my bedroom, did several loads of laundry and cleaned the kitchen. The next few days are suppose to be really hot and humid with one day in the 100's. I want to finish cooking and freezing meals before it gets too hot. No rain is in our forecast so I will be watering the gardens tomorrow. The rabbits were happy to get their frozen water jugs back. I stopped for a few days while temps were in the 80's. They all wrapped theirselves around the jugs and took a nap. Granny J collects graniteware so I promised her a photo of some of my collection. I have collected for years and found most of it at yardsales and thriftstores. I collect way too many different things but this is one of my favorite collections. Have a blessed night!

Fun to see your collection Peggy. Sounds like you have had a busy day with no let up in sight. I can just see Rusty "claiming" that recliner!!!!!
Hi Peggy, We too are having horribly hot and dry weather... We are going to get up about 6 a.m. and water the entire yard/flowers tomorrow morning. We are so desperate for rain that even our Rhododendron leaves are turning yellow... It's terrible!
We had left-overs tonight --left over from last night... They were just as good the 2nd time around...
Keep those animals cool--and stay cool yourself.
Hugs,
Betsy
Peggy, your collections make everything look homey and cozy.
Stay cool... it's warm here (wisconsin) and very humid! I hate this part of the summer...

Thanks for the picture of the graniteware. That's a great looking display. I especially like the cobalt blue pieces.
Sounds like you have been a busy bunny, I love to sit back after cleaning and rearranging it's a nice feeling. We are having more of the hot sticky stuff you have had in past weeks, not sure when it will end so I might have to breakdown and get the AC out of the attic. Stay cool.
Love your photo! I have some granitwear like yours, its amazes me how many items we have thats just alike!:o)
Im cooking and feezing, and putting up food from the summers harvest today. Our heatwave is back also!
Have a great day!

Peggy, the way you write makes me want your life. You have a way of saying things that brings them alive and I can see the dogs sleeping and all the animals tucked in and sleeping outside. It sounds idyllic. I'm sure it's not always but it sure sounds that way..
Hi ya friend, it has been really hot here too, but we are used to the heat, all next week will be in hight 90's that is summer in GA, hugs my friend, Barbara
