This blog is a journal of the simple living on a small 2 and a half acre farm. The ups and downs. The good and the not so good. Adventures of Hidden Haven animals and some of my own. The sharing of our frugal, hardworking, attempt to be as self sufficient as possible. Please stop by often as we love company!

Happy Birthday America
Whatever your plans I hope you have a safe, blessed holiday. As I am typing this fireworks are going off all around the neighborhood. Rusty is barking as he doesn't like the noise. Kuma is asleep under the diningroom table. William is asleep. I am staying up to make sure the noise from the fireworks doesn't upset the animals. The fireworks from the neighbor in front are beautiful. The neighborhood kids can be heard oooing and aahhhing over each one. What a blessing to live in America. Free to celebrate or not celebrate our country's birthday. Free to sleep or stay awake. Free to make noise or be quiet. America may be old, tired, and over budget but she keeps on giving and boy is she beautiful. I love every inch of her. Happy Birthday America and may you have many, many more.

The fireworks are blasting here right now too. My cats hate them!!
Hope your 4th is wonderful Peggy!!
Amen, Peggy... This was well-written. We sometimes don't appreciate the fact that we do have freedom...
Hope your animals aren't too spooked by the fireworks.
Have a great 4th.
Hugs,
Betsy
Blessings to all at Hidden Haven this July 4th!
~*~ Happy 4th of July ~*~
Being a Veteran I've been to other countries. Both to live and temporary duties. America is, by far, the very best I've been in. Happy 4th to all.
Have a blessed day as we all Celebrate our country as we continue to pray for our people, soldiers, and leaders. I pray daily for our leaders that the Lord will guide them and our nation will be a true Christian nation! I love the pictures of your "Hidden Haven." Will you be returning to your mountain cabin when winter comes?
Happy 4th to you and yours!
Hope you have a Blessed week!

It sounds like all is normal for a Fourth of July celebration around your place. All the best to you.
Happy 4th Peggy!
Molly doesn't like the fireworks either.
Only you dear Peggy, would worry about your animals.
Love you,
Connie
