| Boy am I thirsty! |
In a past post I wrote about Buttons getting into the pig mash. William mixes it up each evening for the next day using pig feed, sweet feed, corn, bread, and water. It sits overnight so am sure with the heat it ferments a little. Buttons loves it! William can't sit the bucket down without her sticking her head in for a drink. Yes, a drink. She only likes the liquid from the mash.

Needless to say Buttons always goes off and has a wonderful nap after drinking her "mash" or if she sneaks a drink in evening feed she sleeps like a baby all night. In fact she didn't wake up when we went through her pen to hang a light when Dotty was having her babies. She usually cries when she hears us talking until we give her some attention. She never knew we were even around.

Ha! The Revenuers will come after you for making sour mash! And PETA will come because you're letting your goat get drunk - Oh My where will it all end up?! I'm glad Buttons is enjoying herself, and that she is getting a good night's sleep. And I imagine the pigs like the mash as well. Thanks for such a funny post this morniing. All I can say is that I'm glad it's Buttons drinking that and not me! lol That is too funny, though, how that stuff puts her to sleep. I just love how all animals have all their own little characters:-) Love ya sis. xoxo
I love the pictures of Buttons. That is so funny about her wanting the liquid from the mash. She'll have to join the critter version of AA. lol
I think Buttons is thinking you guys are holding back the "good stuff" from her! And she isn't going to allow that any more!

I saw something on TV this past week showing a bunch of goats who had been hired to eat all of the Kudzu in a certain place. There were about 13 goats --and they ate a TON of that Kudzu... I guess if anyone needs help in cleaning out a certain area, just call on the goats!!!! ha

In my younger days I always liked the liquid off the mash, too, and can relate to a little nap afterwards. I can relate to a little nap anytime.
What will she do when the weather is cold and it no longer ferments???
