Another Day on the Homestead
What started out as "chinking" the cabin turned into a mud fight and then a mud slide. Guess their cabin walls will have to wait another day. You would think the girls would be the ones inside staying clean... NOT! The boys stayed clean all day and grandma is still soaking mudstained clothes.

Cool girls! Sounds like a whole lot of fun to me. This homestead of yours sounds like a place I want to visit!
And it was lovely to read the little tribute to your mother. May she be at rest in God's care.
hello fellow homesteader. We have lots in common it looks like. Goats, soap making, heating with wood etc. We have been at it for over 15 years.
Fun reading your blog.
Here is my link if you want to stop by and take a peek.

What a memory was made in the mud.
and a lovely tribute to your mother.
lol how cool and what fun they must've had, isn't it winter over there though?
What a wonderfully happy photo this is! Mud fights hold some of my fondest memories! My brothers and I use to do so in the rice fields in Northern California!
The photo you have is says it all, soaking wet fun!!
I had to take a second look to see if those were my kids...LOL
We have a creek in the back part of our land and on warm summer days, they seem to just not be able resist. I have to admit, I've even taken part a time or too.
I still love the feel of my feet in soft warm mud.
