Norman the GNOME Needs a Vacation

Norman has been stuck inside the house for months, wanting for spring so he can go back out in the garden. Each time I walk by Norman he looks so sad that I got to thinking.... (oh no!) I want to send Norman on a vacation! Since he is only 7 inches tall and weighs less than half a pound he can go through regular mail. I am going to send along a small journal for his hosts to write in about his stay with them. I would also like for anyone that hosts to show a photo of Norman enjoying the stay at their home on their blog or email photo to me and I will post it. Anyone interested in hosting Norman for a few days and then sending him on to his next destination leave a comment and I will get in touch with you to get your mailing address. When I have enough I will make a list and enclose it with Norman and send him on his way. I will post his schedule so we will know where he is and can check that blog to read how things are going and what he is up to. He will be the perfect house guest as he only eats magical fairy food and carries that with him and he is very quiet and doesn't snore at all! Norman is waiting to hear where his first stop will be and is hoping its with you!!!!

The fact that he doesn't snore should make him popular. My hubby has sleep apnea and uses a Cpap machine at night. I've missed you my friend, I'm glad you are back posting. Thanks for coming over and sharing tea with me...hugs!

Queensland is beautiful and warm at this time of year, and I would love to have Norman as a house guest and show him the sights!

If Norman would like to go to the Paducah quilt show in April, I'd be happy to take him along!

Or, if he would like to go to south Louisiana in March, he could tag along too.

While I was reading your entry, the resident band of sock monkeys that live in my house, tip-toed up behind me and were reading over my shoulder. You should have heard the hub-bub and chatter when they saw that Norman was setting the itinerary for a trip! Buzz, Spanky, Rocko and Jocko are hoping Norman will add them to his list of hosts.

He is adorable. I am looking for a Gnome just like him.

Norman is also welcome to come down-under to the gorgeous Blue Mountains of NSW. I could take him on the Scenic Railway and he could also get to meet some local aussie gnomes. Don't worry about his sunscreen, I have plenty !

I'm game. Sounds like a lot of fun!
Not that there are a lot of sights in Ruffin, but I'll think of something interesting for him to do!

What a fun idea! Hey send Norman my way! I love little short bearded men! And since sometimes all I cook for dinner is magical fairy food he will feel right at home.

Peggy you are so clever.....I would love to have Norman visit...Max would probably sniff him, but what a great idea you had......count me in.....

seems to me you have enough places for Norman to visit. Postage may be high to Australia, so if we are included send him to Flossy then she can send it onto me and I will send it back to the US.

Teenager Jose Alvarez - who filmed the gnome - yesterday told national newspaper El Tribuno that they caught march madness the creature while larking about in their hometown of General Guemes, in the province of Salta, Argentina.
He said: “We were chatting about our last fishing trip. It was one in the morning.
