A Part of my Family Tree

When mother died my brother Don gave me the photo albums, boxes of photos and notes so I could make a family tree photo book for him, my other brother Marshall and myself. Today I decided I needed to scan more photos and do a little more work on the book. I love looking at family photos and seeing where I got my nose, eyes, etc. and wondering about each relative and how they enjoyed their life. Here is a few photos from the family tree>
This is my Great Great Grandpa Julius Woody. He was my mother's great grandpa on her daddy's side.
This is my great grandpa Julius L. Woody and great grandma Jennie Bell Woody. My granddad is the little boy standing in front of grandpa Julius.
This is my granddad Lawrence Woody and my grannie Birdie Woody. My mother's parents
This is my mother Bonnie Marie Woody Messer with my brothers Don (the short one) and Marshall. Now that you have been bored with a trip down my family tree you can go back to your regular scheduled day!

I like to see the old pictures. I try to blog them every Monday for the Monday memories. I really like doing that on Mondays and seeing everyones so I am NOT at all bored. I need to work on that this afternoon, but now I just most certainly need a NAP!! Have a good Sunday afternoon...

I love old pictures. They are so fun to look at. To see what has changed and how simply they lived. Thanks for sharing.

It is nice to have a family history. I have been in a tussle with the government to find out the truth of my fathers origins. I have come to learn he was in fact adopted. The woman we knew as his sister was in fact his mother. His "parents" we in fact his grandparents. While the government lady has the information in front of her she cannot share it with me. It would be nice to confirm this situation and perhaps learn the name of his biological father.

On my mother's side I know and have pictures of my four English great grandparents. They are cherished treasures that hang on my wall: the Beestons and the Walleys from the pottery district in England.

Nothing boring at all, reading other peoples history, I love it!
how lucky to have so many photos. I have many from my mums side, but Dad's were lost in a flood when I was about 10. so much history lost,I still actually grieve over those lost photos, is that silly?
