Last Day at Grandma's

Our last day has been a busy one. The grands helped me muck the goat and chicken pens. They took turns helping and playing with Nitro. He loves to have all the attention.
Woody was a little sneak and took a picture of me pitching old hay and poo in the wheelbarrow. Isn't Diva getting big?! After doing the chores we all headed to the mall. The grands think I live in the greatest place. They think its "sweet" to live in the country yet have a mall 15 minutes away and 3 walmarts and McDonald's close by. They like farm life close to shopping and video game stores. After a few hours in the mall and late lunch at McDonald's we came home where they had to have a silly string fight before feeding the animals. Grandma had to be the grownup and get them to clean up the mess.
After cleaning up the mess and feeding they had to try out their new games and watch a scary movie before dark. They told me they don't like scary movies after dark. :)
They did get a nice surprise. My neighbor brought me 3 little gosling's that are only 3 days old. They are large dewlap Toulouse which means they will grow up to be lots bigger than the grown geese I have now. I have always wanted some of these as they remind me of mother goose in their size and actions. The grands are thinking of names even though I told them you need to wait till they have a personality to name them. The gosling's will miss being held and petted.

Those poor kids are going to be so bored without you and the farm.

Have a good day.

You've certainly given them a week to remember...when they're our age they will maybe have a blog and write their memories of being at grandma's farm:-) I think grandma will be missing those children too!! xoxo

I am glad they got to come see you too! I am Julie's teacher, and she brought me some of her beautiful soap. I know she had a great time, and she has talked about all of the things she did all day! We are glad she's back with us though!
