Rainy Sunday!

I was blog hopping last night and Frugal Homemaker Plus posted this site to go to instead of reading all the sales papers. Its easy as all you have to do is type in your zip code to find the sales in your area. Not just groceries but everything! To think that I paid for that big ole Sunday paper just to find the sales! We are finally getting rain! It has been 20 days without rain around here and it was starting to show. I went out when it first started drizzling yesterday and spread fertilizer on everything, even the grass though William says I will dread that later. It started raining hard last night and we even had a couple of thunder boomers during the night. I loved waking up to the thunder and lighting show! I put on my faithful rubber boots and rain jacket to make my rounds feeding and milking this morning. For once no one was anxiously waiting for me at the gates. Everyone was nice and cozy in their stalls or on their roosting poles or in their nest boxes. Had to take the boys collars off as they have grown so much they were too tight even after letting them out as much as they would go. Will pick up larger ones next time I am out. I have lots of housework, paperwork and a couple of movies to watch so my day is going to be an inside one. I am just saying a prayer of thanks for the rain!

20 days without rain - gawd, how I wish - well, we get rain here sometimes but our farmers out west have no rain for months sometimes.
Has Diva had another night out yet?

Joyous rain! How nice to think of all your animals tucked away safely.

Oh RAIN!! How wonderful!! We need rain so badly here. We got a few sprinkles today, not enough to settle the dust though. The grass crunches when I walk on it and it's beginning to die, some of it.

I am thrilled that we got rain yesterday too. My garden needed it badly.
I hope you find Bud soon.

So glad you finally got some nice rain. It is really something we take for granted at times. We are having a tad too much but I am not complaining.

Hope you have a nice day. Enjoy your movies.

Hugs,
Connie

We have been getting little teasings of rain, but we could still use a nice soaking.
