Just call me Catwoman. Yesterday afternoon my neighbor Jane brought me a newborn kitten that one of her renters had found in their driveway. I got out the heating pad and kitty nursing bottle and said I would try to take care of it. A couple of hours later the renter brings 2 more kittens she found in her yard. 9:30 last night another neighbor brings another kitten. It is a runt and very very cold. I didn't think it would make it. I got up every 3 hours and fed them. Made sure the heating pad wasn't too hot for them. They are drinking goats milk very well and sleeping when not nursing. So far all 4 are doing well. I think that a young cat had her first litter and didn't know what was happening to her so just had them as she was running down the road. No one has seen the momma but everyone is looking for her. I will take care of the newborns until they find the mom or are old enough to give away. I am NOT keeping any of them no matter how cute they are. I have 3 cats already and that is plenty!

Hello CatWoman:-) hehe I'm back from my trip and trying to play catch up with everyone!! Awwww the poor little kittens, I'm so glad you're taking care of them for now...hopefully they were ALL found!!! You truly are an animal's best friend...you take such wonderful care of them! xox
Such tiny little creatures!
Paula
This happened to us a couple of months ago...finding a newborn kitty in our flower garden. I'm sure these kitties couldn't be in better hands!
oh my gosh! they are so sweet. i hope they are all okay.
Ok it's official....you ARE Doctor Doolittle!!
XOXO
So much for you plans to get a little rest. Caring for such tiny one's of God's creatures is a difficult exhausting task.
I bet you end up keeping at least one, probably the runt if it survives.
Bon Chance!
Peggy, you are truly an animal rescuer. I would have let the neighbor borrow my equipment and sent her home with the kittens.... now if they had been puppies I would have had a hard time saying no. =)
Dear Peggy,
You are such an angel.
Sending you bunches of hugs,
Connie
Are you sure you won't keep just maybe one????
Peggy, Sure FAMOUS last words..."I am not keeping one no matter how cute it is" I have said that before too. They could not have come to a better place. You will make them live I bet. Sandy
I love your blog. May I like you?
Great song.
Your a person with a kind heart. I hope someone finds the kitten mom soon.
I know goat milk is easier to digest then cow milk.
Anyhow did you get the e-mail I sent to you on who is your partner for the summer scavenger hunt.
I am putting my money on the runt - hahaha! you won't be able to help yourself Peggy xoxo
they are so sweet, the poor little things. But that is interesting that the mother didn't know what was happening, I thought it would be a natural instinct.
Ah Peggy, Like Shakespeare's Hamlet said ~ "The lady doth protest too much, methinks" I bet you do keep the runt!!
Ohhhh, bless your heart for taking care of those poor little things! I sure hope they make it!! If anyone can pull them through it'll be you.
You're a saint, Peggy, and everyone knows it. God bless you.
