More Goats!

No, no babies yet. Diva isn't due till Feb 19th and Sammi is due the first of March. They are getting huge though
What we are getting is 6 more goats! Rosie is being kind and selling us 5 of her goats at a really great price and giving us another one. Sonya and DiDi are due to kid in March. There are 2 young does ( Rose and Blanche) that are just the right age for Frosty Dan and Brown Robyn. There is a nice buck named Leonard that will help Nitro keep the girls happy. And then there is Blinkin. She isn't purebred but a great milker and wonderful mom to her kids. William is planning our new fence and we have Wayne ready to build a small barn for our new family. Can't do anything but plan because of the rain. Hopefully it will pass and this afternoon will have everyone out getting all this in place. Very soon there will be lots of milk for soap, cheese, drinking, ice cream and yogurt. I can't wait to see if they will let me dress them for a Valentine photo!!!

Wow! Diva and Sammi are huge! My girls haven't started to show yet. Once you get Sonya there, you'll be hard pressed to tell Sammi and Sonya apart from a distance! They look like they could be sisters.

I really appreciate you taking them, Peggy. It makes me feel so much better knowing they are going to a good home. And Binky...she's sweet and produces lots of milk...but for her babies only! She's harder to milk than a cat.

Many Hugs!

Hi Peggy,
You're going to have new babies all over the place!! :) Congrats!

When I read your last post..Life Goes On...I was reminded of how things are on a farm. It's been so long for me that I forgot what it was like back then. Things didn't "shut down" for holidays!! lol The feeding had to be done, milking, etc. regardless of the season or weather!! Thanks for sharing you life and your little farm!

Hugs,
Hope

I remember that my cousins three kids couldn't drink cows milk so they bought goats milk from a neighbor of theirs. Could someone tell me what is the difference. Those poor mommies and all the legs kicking them. Poor girls.

I'm lost. Diva is preggers, again? Lord. And Sammi too? No wonder you sent Nitro elsewhere. He's a busy guy. I enjoy the peacefulness of after Christmas--getting back into a normal routine again. Looks like you didn't skip a beat.

Will you qualify as a goat herder when you herd explodes in numbers?

You are going to have lots of fun with the larger group of charmers.

Holy smokes you really ARE Doctor Doolittle! I didn't realize Diva was pregnant again......you're going to have a herd! I just love how with everything else going on your heart reaches out the way it does to Fran. You are one in a million dear Peggy! I wish you a very Happy New Year!

My son and his wife have recently got some goats for their property. I have never been around goats before. Now I can see how wonderful the goats are. They are making some fine pets. They are gentle as dogs. They are doing very well. My daughter in law is looking into what to do with her goat milk. So now we will be learning...Roxie
