More Babies!

Washtub post has been postponed. Blinkin had her babies! Of course they were bucklings. What else do we have around here. I spent the night reading a who done it mystery to her. We had a very bad thunder storm pass over around 2AM that really made her nervous but reading to her seem calming. She was a lady in labor. Not once did she moan or cry. She would get up and walk around and come lay back down and let me rub her back and head. I knew she was ready to kid when I saw the discharge and decided to spend the night with her just to make me feel better. She is a old pro at kidding and didn't need my help at all. I did help with one foot just so I could say I helped. The first buckling was born at 6:30AM with the weight of 6lb4oz. The second one arrived at 6:45AM weighing 6 lb even. The first one was already up walking when the second one came. Blinkin is such a good mother! She got those babies cleaned up in no time and had them nursing. After a nice bucket of warm molasses water, a little grain and a little hay mom and babies are resting. Which is what I am going to do after a nice hot shower. Hopefully the Mighty Warriors can stay out of trouble till I catch a few winks.

Peggy the babies are wonderful. Nothing like a Nubian baby. I received my prize on Saturday and it smells wonderful. Thank you so much for sending it to me. I am on my way in to try it out. Thanks!

Love the names you have picked out for them.Beautiful new babies. I have always been a sucker for baby goats.
Hubby has to drag me away from the miniatures not far from here.I know we will have some at the fair too.I feel sorry for them. Its too hot out even with a fan on them.
I hope you get some rest and the boys can take care of them selfs for a few hours.
God bless, take care.

The big day finally arrived, and I missed it! They are just adorable!!! Yes, Blinkin' IS a good little mom! Bless her heart.
And you...sitting with her all night! You really love your pets! They are so very lucky!!! That's how I feel about my cats...I love all 33 of them!

Love the names you chose! We named our first cat "Puss" and then when we got the kids a second kitten, we named her "Boots" so we had Puss 'n Boots like the old cat food name from years ago.

I have one of my old diabetic cats at the vet's today...her glucose was 494!!! Normal is 120-160 range. She's 14 years old and such a sweet old gal. Only the best for our babies, huh?

Congratulations, Grandma, on your newest family members! How many goats do you have in all?

I LOVE your blog as I love animals!!!
