Killer had her six chicks out for a scratch before the rains start back up. She saw me and moved her babies to a corner while keeping an eye on me. I think she really hoped she would get to take a bite outta me.
Tessa is being a good mommy to be and sitting on her eggs. She doesn't even let the camera distract her.
Fred is upset Tessa isn't paying attention to his flirting and spreading his feathers so went over to show off to the hens next door.
Sister informed me she is just laying an egg so I shouldn't get any bright ideals of sticking duck eggs under her.
I did find this egg shell but William nor I are brave enough to see if she has a gosling under her. Wanna come lift her and see?I then picked up a stick to protect myself from ClydeSo I could give water to Bonnie and snap a picture. She isn't coming off her nest for no one!
Then of course I just had to take pictures of Christmas Cocoa and Tiny Tina.

Well, I sure enjoyed that! You have a bunch of busy critters there Peggy, and a lot of nest sitting going on!!!
Geese are SO funny and I love that you have a chicken named killer! LOL I got my pay it forward package today and I could KISS YOU!!! The smell is wonderful and I appreciate it so much. Thanks Peggy for making my day!!!
awww....Tiny Tina looks like a sweetheart!!! (not so sure about the geese though...)
You must taste good and that's why Killer keeps wanting to take a bite outta you! lol Loved seeing all the pictures, sis, and those chicks are just so cute, wish they'd stay small like that!!! I've just come back from running errands and it's snowing out there...BAH HUMBUG! Love ya sis. xoxo
How I love to see all the pets Peggy. These pics made my day!
Oh my,.... baby chicks. I do miss them I must say... All the spring babies we had on the farm. Now I am getting nostalgic and sentimental :(
Love the pictures!
Now this is really Spring!

So cute. My Granddaughters and I made art projects of baby chicks then watched them on utube...I will have to show them your animals 9o:
OMG, I'm so laughing at all those eggs! I guess I wasn't far off when I imagined her teetering on a pyramid of them! LOL...
Killer is looking pretty prime! And her chicks are just the most adorable assortment. For some reason I think they look like a "Motley Crue". Wild hair and they all look different. Let's hope they all have mellower personalities, yes?
Peggy, I love the photos. The animals
look to be having a great time.
Wow that's sure a lot of eggs Molene is tending. Should be a whole crew if they all hatch! Tiny Tina is just adorable. -Sandy
I just caught up on the past few days of your posts. Happy Birthday!! I love reading about your feathered friends as much as the I love reading about the goats.
Awwww, so precious!
Killer! What a name! My husband is going to want to name one of our chicks that now. lol.
what are you going to do with all those babies? CUTE!
Thanks for sharin' the pic's. I love seein' all your animals.
No way do I want to mess with the geese. They hurt when they getcha and leave a bruise! Can you tell I've been got by a goose before?
Nice pictures and I think I'll pass on trying and lifting Molene though.
Peggy, I just got back home from DC and found your PIF in the mail. I wanted to let you know it arrived just fine and to say a BIG thanks for it. I LOVE the body wash!!! Well, I love it all! lol Thank you, thank you. Hope you have a great night, Kristie
everything looks so CLEAN around there. Those Mommies-to-be are very protective. Our turkey hens hiss something awful. Hope William's truck gets going.
I LOVE KILLER!!!! She is the best momma ever. Although I think you have a farm full of wonderful mommas. Fred you dog...quit it!
Lovely photos. You are quite the feather fancier. When they get aggressive remember they are really dinosaurs:)
Oh, I love it! I do hope all those eggs hatch. I can't imagine having to spread oneself over so many!
Hello Peggy
I'm amazed you can keep up with then all - do you put something in 'your' water to give you energy?
I'm wondering if Killer is the first chook you've had that was as protective (not nasty but could be) as she is or is it a trait with her line?
Take care
Cathy
I love all your pics and especially of killer trying to keep the chicks away from you. Is that her rump or head in the pic?
So many babies around there, or soon will be. How exciting!
What fun that was! Those ducks are adorable.
Peggy,
These photos are delightful. I remember the days of watching out for angry farm fowl in the spring. How wonderful that I can relive those days through your blog.
Enjoy spring on your homestead.
Blessings,
Mary
