This blog is a journal of the simple living on a small 2 and a half acre farm. The ups and downs. The good and the not so good. Adventures of Hidden Haven animals and some of my own. The sharing of our frugal, hardworking, attempt to be as self sufficient as possible. Please stop by often as we love company!
I love it and I am SO going to do it! The other night we discovered Tomato Football. Place half a tomato on the ground and watch them all take turns picking it up and running with it like a quarterback while all the others try to tackle it. It was hilarious becaue eventually the part the chicken was holding on to broke off inot their mouth and another chicken immediately picked it up and ran.
My husband and I are way too easily entertained. lol.
Man i am getting all sorts of ideas from the blogs i read today!! I will be doing this one this weekend. Thanks, Peggy and errr guy modeling the pinata!
What fun for the chickens. You certainly are creative.
Hope all is well with you and that you are enjoying some nice weather. We had a lovely day today and did a bit of outside work. Tomorrow is to be the same.
Cool. I will have to try with out chickens since they have been banned from out of their coop lately. We planted our veggie garden and so no chickens on the loose anymore. They will appreciate the greens this way!
I'm thinking a weaving needle (about 6 or 7 inches long and very sturdy) would work; I'm guessing the cabbage will hang longer if you spear it through the core. Awesome idea! Thanks!
A cabbage pinata...well now I've heard of everything! lol What a wonderful idea for the chickens, though...tell William he made a very good model! hehe Love ya sis. xoxo
I can't for the life of me figure out why I read about how to make a chicken pinata....I don't have chickens (o: It was very interesting. Love the new big puppy. Will be fun to read about him.

Well I learned something new. That is so interesting. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Take care.
I never knew chickens liked cabbage!
My kind of entertainment. I'll try it for sure. Are you digging the cabbages out of the root cellar or buying them at the store?
William sure is cute in those shorts. ;-)
I want an update on the turkeys.

Mine loved cabbage and lettuce too. I would do the pinata thing too.
What a great tip. I will have to pick up some cabbage today and try it.
